A Paddle on the River Morriston

A bit of a grey Sunday morning - but still and clear - perfect for perfect reflections on the River Morriston.

Just west of the dam on the River Morriston (NH356156)

We parked up in the layby on the A887 just west of the dam (NH356156) and lowered the canoe over the rocks, before paddling upstream.

Reflections on the River Morriston

The water was mirror smooth - the reflections of the sky giving us the illusion that we were flying...

It was a sublime day on the river.

We paddled upstream to Torgyle Bridge (NH309129), before running out of time and reluctantly heading back.

The day was all topped off by a completely unexpected view of ospreys and nest as we gently paddled back downstream.
